The Present
About the Author

The focus is staying focused; the clarity that arises from the benefits of mindful-awareness inspires every published word.
It is possible to see or realize one thing that changes everything. For me, it was becoming aware that whenever an interior monologue of thoughts becomes the focus, I operate on auto-pilot as if my head was buried in my cell phone, unconscious of my presence here – the very ground that aids each step, the sights and sounds of a world without words. What observed that was not a thought; there are no words to describe it.
It is for that realization that a blog like this can only go so far; words will never describe the experience. The further one delves into thought, the further away from truth (and the less peaceful) one becomes.

Meditation password is: peace. Cool post! Being present! Glad you found your way to my blog. Since you signed up through your blog, wordpress did not give me your email, so I had to give it to you here! Hope you enjoy!

Jodi
Hi Jodi, thanks so much for stopping by. I’m glad too! Love your blog.
A very sleek inspiring blog. Awareness brings the ability to experience life without or worry, fear or bias each moment.
I have found that mindfulness or meditation works best when you reach that empty stage. Crystal clear awareness accompanies this emptiness. All of our emotions are at our disposal to use as we direct our attention to all the opportunity to available.
If you show up empty all of life is before us. Happiness is found here. The past and future are gone, giving way to now.

Upon reaching that incredible, miraculous stage, it is always at a time when “I” wasn’t reaching for it. It’s because I cannot possibly think about being empty. And in that crystal clarity there is complete control, precisely because there are no thoughts (of perhaps worry, fear), that really there IS no control – no need for control. How beautiful… And that is quite a statement!
Marty you put it beautifully… “If you show up empty all of life is before us. Happiness is found here. The past and the future are gone, giving way to now.” Now is really ALL there is… especially implying no pain. So much unhappiness, suffering lies in the future and the past in the mind.
Thank you for the comments (the compliment, too) and for a very wonderful, informative blog, that I feel many people should read.
I grew up in Springfield,Ohio
No kidding! Where are you calling home these days, Marty?
SanDiego or North County. You know there are better climates in the states. Sunny weather but traffic is an issue. Please check out my new model for mindfulness practice. Formulated from a life time experience of being a pro jock and the discipline to perfect certain skills. Hitting a baseball brings an awareness of how to break a complex task into smaller and smaller parts to master.
This helps thoughts to stay distant and make awareness easier.
What do you think.
